I'm Abhinav - a software engineer who likes building things that work and occasionally breaking things to see how they work.
The Short Version
I'm currently interning at Trumio while also building my own thing - Quantistic.ai. Day job involves making AI systems that don't fall over when you throw data at them. Side project is about saving financial analysts from death by SEC filings.
Got into open source through Google Summer of Code 2024. Worked on the PEcAn Project which does ecological forecasting - think predicting how forests behave, but with code. Made their database stuff faster and added a bunch of tests.
Technically I'm studying Metallurgical Engineering at IIT BHU, but most of my time goes into writing code instead of studying metals. No regrets there.

When I'm Not Coding
Gaming is my main escape - been playing games on PC since forever. Also enjoy badminton and swimming when I need to touch grass. Music keeps me sane during long coding sessions.
I like tinkering with random tech stuff even when there's no real reason to. Built a trading bot just to see if I could. Made tools that probably only I use. The usual developer rabbit holes.
